Rapture (Chasing Kites)

You are searching, hope may keep you warm for a while.
You are wondering how many moons have passed
In the shadows of the leaves, under the sun.
Sparkles of gold ideas digging holes in the clouds of a blue sky, in the speed of sound.
A few miles away a bright smile waving hands, but not in a goodbye.
The sweet taste of sugar in the lips.
The vanilla scent freed you from the maze you stumbled upon
Guiding you back home.

Dress

They told him not go out by the night,
But he did anyway.
The streets were bright with the happy faces,
Where were the monsters they told him to be afraid of?
And then she spotted her,
Her pale skin was shining like the full moon.
The red dress sparkled, a design so perfectly tailored, she fitted perfectly.
Her eyes were gloomy like the narrow passages as she danced with her shadow.
The night was a newborn child that thought it could be immortal,
But it died with the sunrise…

Skull

Seven years of bad luck digging holes on his knees
Ten thousand times worst than a bee sting
Ten thousand times less sincere
Growing branches of misery from a small seed
Thousand of memories entangled on bruised wings.
The root of all sorrow that collapsed bones and minds
A blank space once filled with aesthetic tones
Filled with dead voices singing out of tune
Failing to hide a scar that will never leave.

Ash Tradition

He lit the fire in front of him and saw the flames dancing with the southern wind, warming his shivering hands
At the end of the sunset the tide was turning furiously, swallowing the beach and everything in the between.
The scenario seemed to fit his mood, but truly, he was completely at ease. Breathing every salty breath he could with pleasure.
He spit his pride and burned his thoughts, he just left his house, where all the flowers withered before they could even bloom and never looked back.
A wild spirit lonely waiting for the day to end and take his old fake glory mask with the waves.
Longing for an ending for the misery that kept bugging under his skin.
It all seemed so simple, all the footprints were erased and all that was left was the ashes from that campfire.

Mindless Arousal

Warm dim light, empty veins
A sweet role playing game of the master and the slave
The restless bondage
A little foreplay.
Lips are for biting
Skins are for crawling
Velvet feelings in the gutter
There’s champagne in the crystal
A little violence to feel it right
A dose of lust in eyes to see no harm
Covered eyes can’t wait for the surprise

Sailor I

The room had four walls and two doors,
He faced the streets only at the midnight
The clothes were long and dark, walking around the avenue below the stars
Like a blur.
The pavement was wet, puddles everywhere
Between the silence and the whispered conversations, he made his way down.
He would return before daylight, avoiding and forgetting the faces he met on the way.
They never meant a thing, this place never meant a thing.
Soon he was to be gone again, fading away with the night breeze.

Rendezvous in the sea.

She held his hands and promised never to wake up,
They escaped in the reverb of angels singing, and drawn a map tracing lines in the stars.
All in perfect harmony, they kissed their morphine lips and felt asleep.
Waking up on a beautiful storm in the sea.
They drowned in their dreams.
Forever asleep.

Backyard

You got tall enough to look over the wall,
But instantly regretted, all that you’ve missed is stained and dust.
There’s not much to see, the grass has shadowed it all.
Grow tall and dirt, raising skyscrapers for the insects.
They’ve build their kingdom on the remains of the memories.
You turned to look at his eyes, the one that was always tall enough.
And he said “it is destroyed to ever last.”
At first you didn’t understand, but you wasn’t supposed to.
Your saddened eyes half wished you had half of his wisdom
To realize why the worms learned to decompose.
What never dies, always changes.

Stay (The Missing)

The summer days gone by with the rain and the leaves,
All the bright sunshine in the puddles in the streets
And the kids filled with joy, that spend their time like it was the last days of their lives.
Splashing their dirty shoes on the water, forming rainbows in their minds,
Sailing across seas that only they could see beyond the horizon,
And that’s where I heard your voice, cheerful and kind,
It wasn’t as loud as the screams from the other kids, so I made an effort to hear,
To hear you calling my name and grabbing my hand, so we could cross the green hills and live the greatest adventure of all time.
I would go and protect you from the trolls and the sirens, from the giant and the wild horses, the poisonous snake women and the greedy pirates.
We would walk for days and miles, going through ghost villages and empires.
I dream of your coy smile and your eyes as shiny as the yellow sun, I dream of our never ending journeys, I dream with the water, the puddle, the sea.
To hear you sobbing when you hurt your knees.
I’m lost and I’m waiting for you to find me again, grab my hand and never let go, take me to foreign and dangerous lands, to live in the jungle, to sail along with the waves.
To carry you in my backs on the way back home, to leave you on your bed safe and sound. To tell you that everything is not lost, that tomorrow is a new day.
To tell you I’m also suffering, but we have to move on.
Life for you has just begun.
And I wish I was there more than anything. Cause another lost is not what you need.
If only I could find you in those summer days
I would never lose you again.

"Never more to find her where the bright waters flow."

Wednesday 10 February 2010

Our eternal improvised act.

Nothing else to follow, no plot to hold them.
A highway to the sea and the sun.
Astray from their fate driven lives
They would carve their own story in the sand
And run through the woods.
In the rapture of their plotless adventure
Nothing in their heads and no feelings to share but joy
What no one can hold and they decide
The beginning,
The middle,
The end
In real time
What one said the other completed
In a game they play in their imagination

Stagnated

“Close your eyes” He said “Make a wish”
All that came true that night wishing upon a star
After a full day in the water, the moment they sat foot in the hotel room they shared was pleasant
All the night, screams moans and sweat in soft white sheets.
All the mess left in the morning.
The clothes hanging on the television and over the bed
The best cold shower in a lifetime.
It was like a embarrassing dream you used to have and kept for your pleasure.
The eyes staring to each other for an eternity. Not a second was a waste
What seems to be an unreachable love now whispering delightful words of love
Crossing fingers and skins crawling.
Never seemed to reach the end
All the hidden passion kept for a thousand nights was found
All that came true that night in a treasure
And the words highlighted in a lost dictionary.

(One sided) one night stand ode.

The taste left in your mouth, very hazarding for the first instance
But later in the day you would beg for more.
In this temper, in such way.
Drawing the heart shaped marks on his chest
The consequences of staying late in the night
Down the street, below the light pole.
Or in the heat of the summer, in the breeze of the ocean.
Below the night stars shining on, against the tide.
Don’t think he cares
Don’t think he’s beginning you back
Don’t think he’d search for you
He’s too jaded to sleep
Hung over from the night before.
He’ll follow the lonely highway and go with the wind.
And when the ocean hits his feet he won’t think twice.
He’s not coming back
The letter he sent you remains in your handbag, I can tell,
But your lipstick marked on his shirt and your cologne is long gone in the sea
He would be walking shirtless and wet
But don’t think he cares.
He’s everywhere you want him to be for you
He’s the person you look for in someone else,
To be everything you wanted him to be.
And tonight when you search for him on his bedside
You’ll see a lucky gentleman, waiting to be loved like you.

The Great Injustice

He saw what happened, the way he was betrayed and left behind
The nights he cried alone under the trees he was stuck with,
All the night creatures would come and see him, to hear the elegies he would moan.
Then one night he dried forever,
Scared all the creatures away in anger, in denial.
Forged himself a weapon and hunt them all,
Slaying away all his sorrow with a knife cut.
Then came the day he saw the boy, alone and lost,
Coy and naïve, and the hunter knew why.
So he pledge to himself he would protect the boy from the evil, still, he would remain silent, hiding in the shadows.
All to preserve the boy’s innocence from the truth.
After all, that was all he could do.
To protect the boy from the ghost of the past.

Cold Front

He shivered
As the hand crossed his body
The calm exhale in his neck was like a winter breeze.
He felt surrounded by snow as the arms crossed him from behind
And the lips, like frost and morphine numbing his pain.
It wasn’t warm, it wasn’t the kind of love he thought he would feel,
But freezing to death was the best sensation.
In movement, the cold sweat, the touch.
His heart beating faster, still his blood felt solid
Like ice cubes transiting his veins.
His body twisting with the thermal shocks
Fighting to maintain the temperature,
But he knew he no longer had control of his actions.
He screamed and moaned, but all he could hear in response were his own echoes.
The violent actions scared, but he let go all resistance.
In the end he was numb,
It took a few minutes to let the temperature rise again.
All he could think about was the frozen ghost leaving the room.

Backstage Whispers

Such ghostly touch filled with bitterness
Such ghostly voice filled with passion.
How can such fighting soul be forsaken like that?
As the voice spoke, our actor was too afraid to turn around.
Who could write such tragic script?
For the sad man behind him, whose name was spared from the credits,
All he had left was the hope to save the new show star.
He kept a safe distance and every night he would bravely fight the nightcrawlers.
So the boy was safe from the destiny the man could no longer escape.
-
Because he knew,
The boy was the blood brother of the director of such madmen show.

Personal

“The bouquet is all torn…”
“Don’t worry, he’ll accept it if you explain what happened, after all, he loves you.”
“Are you sure?”
“100%”
“I think he just feels it as another love story”
“It doesn’t always need to have a bad ending, does it?”
“I’m not thrilling enough”
“If you keep thinking like this, he’ll surely leave you”
“You’re right, but I still feel I’m not enough”
“You are, now go before you get late”
“Thank you”
“You’re welcome…”
“See ya”
“I’ll be back home, waiting for the news…”

In just a few minutes, one heart will be broken, one will be mended.
In just a few minutes, she’ll be torn like her bouquet.
In just a few minutes, all the world will seem to change.
And then I’ll be home…

The Longest Waiting

It’s a lifetime. No less.
For him, it felt like years. Not months, Not weeks, not days.
He saw so many moons, so many suns.
The flashes lasted longer night after night
Faster and more confusing as time slowly went by.
He felt he lost so much in a blink of an eye
The scars were there to remember him that he forgot something.
He’d wait alone somewhere under the trees.
He didn’t know if someone misses him
He didn’t know if someone remember him.
-
Staring at the sky filled with white dots over the forest,
In the highest point of the highest mountain.
This waiting would no longer bother him.
He learned to fly with the birds from the wilderness,
Just so he would be sure he’d fail the final test.
And in the air he felt the sky holding him like a feather,
The dots shined brightly enough to blind, but he kept his open eyes.
He kept until he could only see white,
But somewhere in the infinite he saw a blur,
Deep inside he knew what it was, deep inside he remembered who it was.
And in a final breath he raised his hand… and no longer felt anything.

The Journey In Three.

The layers and patterns of the forest melt in their eyes
The path had no destiny.
And under the tent where the rain sometimes reached they remained silently numb.
There was no need for words, no need for news.
One once felt this feeling. Lonely and sweet.
The other two could learn by watching him
But always in silence.
And on their smile there was the only sign of life,
But such sign didn’t appear so much
Then every moment was sacred.
They treasured it quickly no to be forgotten
All the memories they had was kept in their mind, unspoken,
And the sorrow of old lives burned in the fire between them.
Their footprints erased by the wind.
Their existence unknown.
This was their world, unshaped, intangible, unpredictable.
No one would never reach them there.
No one would never harm them there.
No one would never take them away.
No one would be needed.
For them was all they needed
All they loved and cherish was in their eyes,
All of their make believe.

Oneirology

Like another world, he steps into.
The heat is intense on this unusual summer day,
Unusual for him, that is.
It’s been so long, but the clock froze and let him lost in time,
Still, he could feel the minutes gone by in his knees,
And he saw the little girl standing by the door.
She says “this is where we collide”.
A million things in his mind, and the clock goes on and on again
Like nothing ever happened.
A call from beyond wakes him up,
“Stay where you are”
All these hallucinations were true?
He can’t deny when reality hits him in the face
A hole in the sky and separate hands,
He flew to his destiny, watching the little girl as he slowly fades away

It’s a dream as it seems.

The rain fell for us

Felt like I could never feel again
Had to clear my eyes to see
Explosions in the air
Washing away in the seas.
All the clouds crashing in the sky and the noise they made
All the flashes of light lead me to dance
Underneath the rain, all the joy in every raindrop
Under a black sky, where the sun can’t shine
On a never ending shadow we dance.
The thirst disappeared and the happiness took place
In wet sand and a brave sea
Singing our own song out of tune
Hidden from the blues, wash away the pain
We would forget the scars and clean our flesh
We would move as far as our eyes could see
As far as our legs could stand
We pray for the rain to last
The sea would rise and swallowed our voices away
Eternity is not enough to get rid of this ache
